JINAN, South Korea, Two retired officials of Korea Land and Housing Corp. (LH) were found dead in an apparent suicide Wednesday amid an investigation into allegations that architecture firms conspired to win contracts from the state-run housing developer. The two, serving as architecture firm executives after retirement from LH, were found unconscious in a car parked in a residential area in Jinan County, 195 kilometers southwest of Seoul, on Jan. 20, police said. The deaths came after they recently underwent questioning by prosecutors in connection with an investigation into allegations that architecture firms colluded to win design, construction and site supervision contracts from LH. No suicide note was found inside the car, according to officials. Source: Yonhap News Agency
