The 2025 South Korean baseball season will have the earliest Opening Day in league history, while the start time for Sunday games during the dog days of the summer will be pushed back by an hour. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced its 2025 schedule on Friday. The regular season will begin on March 22, the fastest start to a campaign by one day. The 2024 season began on March 23. The league's 10 teams will each play their usual 144 games. The All-Star Game is scheduled for July 12 and the league is accepting applications for the host city. The All-Star break will be six days, two days longer than this year. The league also said games on Sundays and holidays in July and August will start at 6 p.m., compared to the usual 5 p.m. In other months, those games typically start at 2 p.m., but the KBO said it may push them to 6 p.m. depending on weather conditions. The KBO will not schedule doubleheaders in March and from June 2 to Aug. 21. Previously, the league held doubleheaders in June. Source: Yonhap News Agency
