KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extended his condolences to the family of legendary local cartoonist Rizalman, who died this morning. He was 76. The prime minister described Rizalman, whose real name is Mohamad Razali Osman, as a man who contributed immensely to the art and comics industries in the country. Rizalman published various popular and successful comics such as Bujal, Salina and Bambino in the 1970s, along with community and investigative comics. 'He also contributed comics to Utusan Pelajar in the 1970s and major newspapers, including Mingguan Malaysia. 'May Allah SWT forgive all his sins and place him among the righteous. Al-Fatihah,' Anwar posted on Facebook today. Media outlets had earlier reported on the death of the veteran cartoonist from Kelantan. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
