Sihanoukville: The HMAS Ballarat (FFH155), an Anzac-class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Preah Sihanouk province this morning for a four-day visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, from Oct. 10 to 13. The frigate is led by Commander Dean Uren and was welcomed by Admiral In Sokhemra, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ream Naval Base, along with other senior naval officers.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit aims to strengthen cooperation and foster friendship and solidarity between the Royal Cambodian Navy and the Royal Australian Navy. The HMAS Ballarat (FFH155) measures 118 metres in length, 14.8 metres in width, and 6.4 metres in draught, with a displacement of 3,900 tonnes.
