Banteay Meanchey Governor Delivers Prime Minister’s Aid to Displaced Families

Banteay meanchey: Banteay Meanchey Provincial Governor, H.E. Oum Reatreay, delivered emergency relief aid to over 600 families displaced from border areas in Malai district this morning. The assistance was provided on behalf of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Governor was joined by H.E. Chan Sovuth, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. During the distribution, Governor Reatrey conveyed messages of support from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, emphasising the Royal Government's commitment to supporting its citizens. "The leadership remains fully committed to alleviating the hardships of the people and ensuring that no one is left behind during times of crisis," he stated.

Mr. Khiev Sarath, a representative for the displaced families, expressed his gratitude for the Royal Government's support. "On behalf of all the families here, I would like to sincerely thank the Prime Minister and the First Lady for thinking of us in these difficult times. This relief package is not only essential for our daily survival but also a profound encouragement to continue moving forward."

Each family received a package containing 25 kilogrammes of rice, a case of instant noodles, a case of drinking water, canned fish, fish sauce, soy sauce, and fermented fish.
