BNK Financial Group Inc. on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net profit of 248.2 billion won (US$179.9 million), up 15.5 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit for the April-June period was 294.3 billion won, up 5.5 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales rose 8 percent to 2.48 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
