Phnom penh: Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet received H.E. Chen Zhou, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon. During the courtesy call, H.E. Chen Zhou recalled the state visit of H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, to Cambodia in April 2025, describing it as a testament to the growing strength of bilateral relations.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Chen Zhou emphasized the significance of deepening cooperation between Cambodia and China, especially in a time of global uncertainty and rising geopolitical and economic tensions. He highlighted the importance of investing in the development of the next generation of youth in both countries to ensure they are prepared for future leadership roles.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly welcomed H.E. Chen Zhou and praised the ongoing progress in Cambodia-China relations, particularly the establishment of the all-weather Cambodia-China community with a shared future. This initiative is being implemented across various levels, including government, ministries, institutions, and at both capital and provincial levels.
The Prime Minister attributed the success of bilateral relations to the strong partnership between the two ruling parties, emphasizing the central role of youth. He encouraged the young people of both nations to continue fostering closer ties and deeper cooperation, which would contribute to the sustained growth and strengthening of Cambodia-China relations.
