According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting took place at the RCAF headquarters, concentrating on fortifying bilateral relations and examining possible collaborations in the defence sector. H.E. General Vong Pisen underscored the strengthening relationship between Cambodia and Trkiye, noting the reciprocal support provided by both countries on the global front. Despite acknowledging the limited scope of military cooperation thus far, he expressed a strong interest in enhancing future interactions.
General Pisen praised Trkiye's defence capabilities and welcomed ASELSAN's interest in forming a partnership with Cambodia, recognizing the potential to enhance the RCAF's operational abilities. He conveyed eagerness to explore avenues to fortify the defence ties with Trkiye, recognizing the prospective advantages of collaborating with a company like ASELSAN.
ASELSAN's Regional Director for Asia, Mr. Anu, outlined the company's global reach and extensive expertise in defence research and development. He highlighted ASELSAN's status as a NATO member company, adhering to international laws and standards, and its export activities to 90 countries worldwide. Mr. Anu reiterated ASELSAN's commitment to identifying collaboration opportunities in the region and their interest in contributing to the advancement of Cambodia's defence sector.
The meeting marks a potential broadening of defence cooperation between Cambodia and Trkiye, with ASELSAN set to play a crucial role in forthcoming collaborations.
