Cambodia Hails Viet Nam’s Progress, Reaffirms Strong Ties

Cambodia: Cambodian Acting Head of State, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, has lauded the good neighbourliness, long-lasting friendship, and fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, in his congratulatory messages to Vietnamese leaders on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen emphasized the close relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Viet Nam at all levels and in various fields, underscoring the spirit of good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-lasting stability. These sentiments were shared in his separate messages to Vietnamese President H.E. Luong Cuong and Vietnamese National Assembly President H.E. Tran Thanh Man.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed his firm confidence that the long-standing bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations will be further strengthened in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of the two peoples, as well as for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the region and beyond.

The Acting Head of State further commended Viet Nam for its rapid development, noting that since gaining independence, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the Government, and the National Assembly, Viet Nam has made strides in socio-economic development, modernisation, and improving people's well-being while playing an increasingly important role in the region and the world.

He concluded by expressing his belief that Viet Nam will continue to advance towards the realization of its vision of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
