Cambodia, Indonesia Committed to Strengthening Health Cooperation

Indonesia is committed to further strengthening its cooperation in the health sector with Cambodia. The commitment was made by H.E. Santo Darmosumarto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Cambodia, in a meeting with H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra, Cambodian Minister of Health, in Phnom Penh on Mar. 14. The cooperation is advancing through the planned signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries' Ministries of Health. Indonesia has also expanded investment in medicine and medical equipment in Cambodia and provided scholarships to Cambodian students in the health sector. H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra spoke highly of the good collaboration and thanked the Government of Indonesia for its contribution to the ministry's effort to promote the well-being of the Cambodian people.
