Cambodia Praises UNDP’s Role in its Development

Phnom penh: Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received the Letter of Credence from Mr. Enrico Gaveglia, the newly appointed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative to the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the ministry this morning.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Enrico Gaveglia praised the Royal Government of Cambodia for its efforts in promoting development across various sectors. He reaffirmed UNDP's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Cambodian line ministries to achieve sustainable development goals.

In his response, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister warmly welcomed and extended congratulations to Mr. Enrico Gaveglia on his appointment as the new UNDP Resident Representative to Cambodia. H.E. Prak Sokhonn emphasized the Royal Government's appreciation for the UNDP's contributions over the past five decades, highlighting support in areas such as combating the COVID-19 pandemic, demining operations, and environmental and socio-economic development.
