Phnom penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a letter to H.E. Ant³nio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, informing him about the recent developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border and seeking his support for the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire and all the agreements reached by both countries.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the letter, dated September 17, underscores the importance of the United Nations' role in ensuring that the ceasefire and related agreements are upheld. The Cambodian Prime Minister expressed his commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region and emphasized the need for international cooperation to address any arising challenges.
The communication from Cambodia's Prime Minister comes in the wake of tensions along the border shared with Thailand.
