Brunei: Cambodian karate athletes have won three medals at the 12th Southeast Asian Karate Federation Championships 2025, held from June 17-19 in Brunei.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Heng Pheng, Head Coach of the Cambodia Karate Federation, confirmed via email from Brunei that Cambodian athletes secured one silver and two bronze medals in the Kumite category.
The silver medal was claimed by Ly Kuyhav in the men's individual 60kg event, while Chhon Sreysphea earned a bronze medal in the women's individual 50kg category, and Sreang Vireak took home another bronze in the men's individual +84kg category, he pointed out.
Coach Heng Pheng shared that Cambodia sent a 33-member delegation to the competition, comprising referees, judges, one coach, assistant coaches, and 22 athletes-14 men and 8 women.
