Phnom penh: The weekly plenary cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, reviewed and approved four significant draft documents this morning.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the approved documents include the draft Law on Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Cambodia; the draft Law on the Approval of the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ Agreement), under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS); the draft Three-Year Rolling Public Investment Programme 2026-2028; and the draft National Action Plan on Preventing and Responding to Violence Against Children 2025-2030.
The draft Law on Civil Aviation, consisting of 25 chapters and 104 articles, aims to enhance the legal framework for managing and developing Cambodia's civil aviation sector in accordance with international standards and the evolving global aviation landscape.
The draft Law on the Approval of the BBNJ Agreement is designed to support the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction, ensuring long-term protection of the ocean's ecosystems for current and future generations.
The draft Three-Year Rolling Public Investment Programme 2026-2028 outlines high-priority public investment projects of the Royal Government. These initiatives are intended to support the implementation of the five strategic goals and priority policies of the Royal Government's Pentagonal Strategy - Phase 1, as well as programmes and priority actions highlighted in the National Strategic Development Plan.
