Phnom penh: Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, today lauded the armed forces for their "bravery and firmness" in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty during recent border skirmishes with Thailand.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in a statement released on his official social media channel this morning, Minister Seiha highlighted the military's performance over the past two days. "Our forces have acted with courage and decisiveness in repelling incursions and defending Cambodia's sovereignty with pride," he stated.
The Defence Minister also appealed for calm among residents in the border provinces of Koh Kong, Pursat, Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey, and Poipet city. He urged them to avoid panic and adhere strictly to directives from local authorities.
"Our forces are fully prepared to safeguard the safety of our people and the territorial integrity of our homeland," H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha affirmed.
He further encouraged the public to trust in the leadership of the Royal Government and the unwavering resolve of the national armed forces.
