Oddar Meanchey: H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), today led a delegation to meet and express solidarity with frontline troops stationed along the Cambodia-Thailand border in Oddar Meanchey province.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit took place this morning at the Headquarters of Military Region 4's Division 3, where H.E. Sun Chanthol was warmly welcomed by General Keo Thy, Deputy Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army and Commander of the 2nd Intervention Division, alongside H.E. Mean Chanyada, Governor of Oddar Meanchey province.
Speaking on behalf of the CDC staff, H.E. Sun Chanthol extended gratitude and appreciation to commanders, soldiers, and armed forces for their service and bravery in defending the nation's sovereignty. He provided financial support and essential supplies to boost the troops' morale and well-being.
Representing the Royal Government, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the soldiers' sacrifices in safeguarding national territory, often under challenging conditions. He emphasized that the CDC's visit was a symbol of national unity, connecting the frontline with the home front as one Cambodian people.
H.E. Sun Chanthol reaffirmed the Royal Government's commitment to resolving border disputes peacefully and in accordance with international law, while upholding Cambodia's sovereignty. He stressed that Cambodia respects the sovereignty of neighboring countries but will not tolerate threats or violations of its territorial integrity.
"We stand united with the Royal Government in all forms and capacities to ensure that we protect peace, territorial integrity, and national sovereignty-no matter the cost," the Deputy Prime Minister declared.
