Phnom Penh: Cambodia's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, H.E. Chea Vandeth, presided over a meeting with internet service providers (ISPs) in Cambodia on Mar. 27, at the ministry's headquarters. The event, attended by approximately 110 participants, including ministry leaders, technical officers, and company representatives, aimed to foster dialogue and address key issues within the sector.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Chea Vandeth highlighted the challenges identified by the ministry through direct field studies and public feedback regarding telephone and internet services. He urged ISPs to provide transparent and fair services to the public, emphasizing the importance of clear communication about their offerings to prevent misunderstandings.
H.E. Minister also provided an opportunity for ISPs to raise their concerns and challenges, aiming to facilitate timely solutions and streamline business operations. This initiative seeks to ensure efficient service delivery that meets the public's needs.
The meeting's objectives included showcasing the ministry's recent achievements, advancements in institutional modernization, digital government transformation, development of digital government platforms and applications, and ongoing efforts in digital human resource development.
The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has been actively conducting field studies and gathering detailed information on the quality of telecommunications, telephone, and internet services across the country. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to improve, strengthen, and expand telecommunications services for the benefit of the Cambodian people.
