Cambodian PM Congratulates Malaysian Counterpart on 68th National Day

Phnom penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his warmest congratulations to his Malaysian counterpart H.E. Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, as well as to the Government and the people of Malaysia, on the occasion of the 68th Anniversary of Malaysia's National Day.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Cambodian Premier praised Malaysia as a vibrant and multicultural society that exemplifies unity and harmony in the region. He acknowledged Malaysia's prominent role on both regional and global stages in his congratulatory message.

The message also highlighted the close and friendly relations between Cambodia and Malaysia over the past decades. Samdech Thipadei emphasized that their friendship and partnership, founded on mutual respect, trust, and a long-standing tradition of cooperation, have flourished through joint efforts.

Guided by common aspirations and shared interests, the relationship between Cambodia and Malaysia is expected to continue growing stronger, bringing greater benefits to their peoples and contributing to the advancement of the ASEAN Community, added Samdech Thipadei.

He expressed deep gratitude for Malaysia's ongoing support and proactive engagement in resolving the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute, especially in its capacity as an ASEAN Chair in 2025. The Cambodian Premier highlighted Malaysia's contribution to the Extraordinary Meeting of the General Border Committee between Cambodia and Thailand, held on 7 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, which brought new hope for lasting peace in the region.

Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed Cambodia's commitment to peaceful coexistence and regional harmony, pledging to resolve all boundary disputes with its neighbors through peaceful means and in full accordance with international law.
