Cambodian PM Encourages Supply Chain Investment

Phnom Penh: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received Mr. Zhang Lianghong, Executive Chairman of the Board of the Hong Kong-listed Kimou Environmental Holding Limited, at the Peace Palace here this morning. During the meeting, Mr. Zhang briefed Samdech Thipadei on his company's operations, stressing its extensive experience in developing large industrial parks with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Zhang expressed the company's interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia. In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed Kimou Environmental Holding Limited's interest and encouraged the company to consider investing in the supply chain sector. He emphasised that such investments would support the Royal Government's efforts to add value to local industries and enhance Cambodia's competitiveness.

The Prime Minister underscored the government's commitment to sustainable development, with a focus on environmental protection and improving the livelihoods of Cambodian citizens. He also highlighted the introduction of new policies, mechanisms, and incentives aimed at attracting foreign investment, particularly in the production and supply chain sectors.

Samdech Thipadei further encouraged the company to engage with relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government to explore concrete investment opportunities within the Kingdom.
