Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, held talks with Dr. Yun Seog-dae, Chairman and CEO of the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) and Chairman of the Asian Water Council, in Seoul on May 17, during his stay in the Republic of Korea for a four-day official visit. In the meeting, Dr. Yun Seog-dae said K-Water wished to increase cooperation with Cambodia, especially in contributing to the management and efficient use of water resources, which is beneficial to the socio-economic development of the Kingdom. At the same time, Dr. Yun Seog-dae expressed his optimism about the improvement of cooperation between the governments of the two countries, and about the contribution of K-Water to the achievement of projects related to water resource management in Cambodia, through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF Loan) and projects of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). For his part, Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister said effective management of water r esources is a key factor contributing to the achievement of the country's long-term development vision and encouraged K-Water to further work with Cambodian competent institutions.
