Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital of Malaysia, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon. On the occasion, H.E. Gobind Singh Deo commended the Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications for the good and successful organisation of the Digital Government Forum 2024 and the inaugural Cambodia-International Digital Government and Digital Technology Exhibition, and expressed his optimism that Cambodia will achieve the building of a digital economy and society in the future. The Malaysian minister hoped that the forum would continue to be held in all ASEAN countries so that ASEAN participants could meet and sharpen discussions to ensure digital connectivity. ASEAN countries are ready to contribute to promoting the digital sector, digital government, digital economy and towards a digital society with the growth of digital security protection to be able to prevent cyber crimes and cross-border crimes, he affirmed.
