Hanoi: Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), will lead a high-level delegation to attend Vietnam's 50th anniversary of national reunification, on April 29-30 at the invitation of H.E. To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the information was shared by the Senate General Secretariat in a press release made public this afternoon, noting that the event will be held in Ho Chi Minh City. Samdech Techo Hun Sen will be accompanied by Samdech Kitti Sangahapundit Men Sam An, a Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, Vice President of the CPP, and President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodian Motherland, along with other senior leaders from the legislative body and the Royal Government.
During his stay in Ho Chi Minh City, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will hold separate working meetings with CPV General Secretary H.E. To Lam, H.E. Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, and H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam. The Cambodian Senate President is also scheduled to meet with other foreign leaders attending the event.
The presence of Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the commemoration underscores the continued strengthening and promotion of traditional friendship, solidarity, and win-win cooperation between Cambodia and Vietnam, in line with the spirit of "good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability," underlined the source.
