DPM Hang Chuon Naron Gives Orientation to ROK’s ASPP Awardees Ahead of Departure

Phnom penh: H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, provided orientation guidance on Aug. 21 to three awardees of the ASEAN Smart City Professional Programme (ASPP) Master's Degree Scholarship at Seoul National University for Fall 2025, ahead of their departure to the Republic of Korea (ROK).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Minister congratulated the awardees for their achievements and ability to seize opportunities to further develop their capacities through studies at a prestigious university in the ROK. He shared practical advice on studying and living abroad, stressing the importance of strengthening foreign language proficiency-both reading and writing-adopting effective learning habits, and practicing note-taking and lesson summarisation.

He also encouraged them to promote and preserve Cambodian culture while at the same time learning about Korean culture, and to build networks and good relations with other international students. He concluded by wishing them good health and success in their studies.

The three awardees are government officials from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Interior. They will pursue higher education in the Technology Management, Economics, and Policy Programme (TEMEP).
