Anning: H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 10th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Anning, Yunnan, China on Aug. 14-15, at the invitation of H.E. Wang Yi, Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the 10th MLC Foreign Ministers' Meeting, the Ministers will review the progress made under the Five-Year Plan of Action for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (2023-2027), set future directions to widen cooperation, and strengthen the bonds of friendships and mutual support among Mekong-Lancang member countries, in the spirit of advancing sustainable development and enhancing social and cultural connectivity in the Mekong-Lancang sub-region.
On the sidelines of the meeting, H.E. Prak Sokhonn is expected to hold bilateral talks with H.E. Wang Yi and other counterparts to further deepen ties and collaboration under both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.
The 9th MLC Foreign Minister Meeting was held in Thailand's Chiang Mai, under the theme 'Towards the Shared Future of a Safer and Sustainable Mekong-Lancang Region'.
The Mekong-Lancang member countries include Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
