KUALA LUMPUR, The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, tracking the underlying cash market's performance. The August 2024 contract increased by 15.0 points to 1,609.50, September 2024 and December 2024 rose by 15.0 points each to 1,590.50 and 1,596.00 respectively, and March 2025 put on 14.0 points to 1,581.00. Turnover fell to 8,202 lots from 9,373 last Friday, while open interest slid to 47,665 contracts from 48,975 previously. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose by 10.61 points to 1,606.66 from Friday's close of 1,596.05. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
