Kampong thom: First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet led a delegation today to pay tribute to three Cambodian soldiers who lost their lives in the recent border conflict with Thailand. The somber ceremony, held in Kampong Thom province, marked the return of the fallen soldiers' remains for burial.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the honored servicemen were: Sergeant Dy Seng; Second Lieutenant Nheat Chhin; and Second Lieutenant Pich Ngorl. Grieving family members, while overcome with sorrow, expressed deep pride in their loved ones' ultimate sacrifice for Cambodia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, honoring the fallen as courageous patriots. She described them as "beloved sons, respected brothers, devoted fathers, and loyal husbands who gave their lives in service to the Kingdom of Cambodia." She also conveyed the deepest sympathies of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, reaffirming the Royal Government's unwavering commitment to supporting the families of fallen soldiers through social welfare programmes and policy-based assistance.
"The ultimate sacrifice of these frontline soldiers will forever stand as a testament to their bravery, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to defending the Nation, Religion, King, and Cambodia's territorial sovereignty," the First Lady stated. The ceremony concluded with a final blessing, praying for the eternal peace of the heroes' souls.
