The top diplomats of South Korea and Oman exchanged cables Thursday to congratulate on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries' bilateral relations, Seoul's foreign ministry said. The messages were exchanged between Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul and his Omani counterpart, Badr Albusaidi, the ministry said. Cho said in the telegram that he hopes the friendly relationship with Oman will further develop in a future-oriented manner, as cooperation between the two countries has deepened to many areas like construction and energy for the past decades. Badr also expressed hope for the two sides to enhance cooperation in such fields as green energy, technologies and health, to an extent that such efforts will help achieve the shared goal of mutually benefiting both nations, according to the ministry.
