GM Korea’s sales reach record 468,000 units in 2023

GM Korea Co., the South Korean unit of General Motors Co., said Wednesday its sales in 2023 reached a fresh record of over 468,000 units thanks to strong demand from overseas. GM Korea sold 468,059 vehicles last year, up 76.6 percent from the previous year on increased shipments of sport utility vehicle (SUV) models, the company said in a statement. Last year, the company's exports logged 88.5 percent on-year growth to reach 429,304 units. Domestic sales rose 4.1 percent to 38,755 units. According to the company, its Trailblazer SUV and Trax Crossover compact SUV models in particular were in high demand, both selling some 210,000 units respectively. Source: Yonhap News Agency
