GPM MALAYSIA LAUNCHES FUND FOR PALESTINE

The Global Peace Mission (GPM) Malaysia has launched the “Tabung Bantuan Kecemasan Peduli Palestin” Fund to assist those affected by the ongoing conflict and violence in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement today, GPM Malaysia said that the aid would be channelled immediately to the victims, particularly in terms of medical assistance, food and shelter.

“GPM Malaysia calls on all Malaysians to contribute to the fund as the current situation in Gaza is very critical, and it is expected that the death toll, injuries and the destruction of the surrounding areas will continue to rise,” it said.

Donations can be made through GPM’s Maybank account 5642 2161 1602 with the reference “Taufan Al-Aqsa” or via the online platform at www.pedulipalestin.com.

On Monday, the government announced an immediate allocation of RM1 million to the Humanitarian Trust Fund for the People of Palestine (AAKRP) managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the recent conflict in the Gaza Strip.
