HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering reports Q2 net income up 808.1 pct to 357.8 bln won

HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 357.8 billion won (US$258.1 million), up 808.1 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 376.4 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 71.2 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 21.3 percent to 6.61 trillion won. The operating profit was 33.3 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
