Combined vehicle sales of Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp., South Korea's leading automakers, in Europe fell 4.9 percent in May from a year ago, industry data showed Friday. According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), Hyundai and Kia sold a combined 92,196 units in Europe last month. ACEA data showed Hyundai Motor's sales inched up 2.8 percent to 46,697 units, while those of Kia decreased 11.7 percent to 45,499 units. The combined market share of Hyundai and Kia last month stood at 8.4 percent, down 0.52 percentage point from last year. Hyundai sold 10,792 Tuscon units, followed by 7,406 Kona units and 5,726 i20 units. Kia sold 15,032 Sportage units, 9,049 Ceed units and 6,004 Niro units. Source: Yonhap News Agency
