Hyundai Motor holds exhibition spotlighting 100 mln cumulative vehicle production


Hyundai Motor Co. said Thursday it has opened an exhibition in Seoul celebrating the company’s driving forces behind its recent milestone of 100 million vehicle units in cumulative global production.

The free exhibition at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul, titled “One step further,” examines the company’s history behind the production milestone while conveying the company’s gratitude to customers and fans who have been part of its 57-year history.

Spanning five floors, the exhibition showcases the company’s Cortina Mark 2, Hyundai Motor’s first production model, and the Pony, Hyundai Motor’s first independently developed model.

It also spotlights the history of major Hyundai Motor plants and breakthrough models, including the first-generation Sonata and Elantra, which exemplify Hyundai Motor’s pursuit to go one step further in driving its industry achievement.

The exhibition also showcases the company’s SUV lineup, including the Santa Fe and Kona, as well as its electric vehicle models, including the Ioniq 5 and
Ioniq 6, the company said.

“We wanted to shed light on these behind-the-scenes efforts that went into producing 100 million vehicles and tell the story of Hyundai Motor’s transformation from a traditional automaker to a leading smart mobility solutions provider,” Jee Sung-won, Hyundai Motor’s senior vice president and global chief marketing officer, said.
