SEOUL, Hyundai Steel Co. on Tuesday reported its fourth-quarter net loss of 190.9 billion won (US$143.5 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company said in a regulatory filing that it continued to post an operating loss of 220.1 billion won for the October-December period, compared with a loss of 276 billion won a year earlier. Sales rose 2.1 percent to 6.1 trillion won. The loss was 80.8 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
