India Assists in Training Cambodian Officials in Drug Combat

Phnom penh: Young Cambodian officials have left the country to attend a training course on combating illicit drug trafficking in Palasamudran city, India.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Samrith Chethaphirom, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD), stated that the training course, which is being held from August 18 to 29, is made possible through financial support from the government of India.

H.E. Lt. Gen. Lim Tong Huot, Director of the Department of Promotion, Education, and Public Relations of the NACD's Secretariat, mentioned that this training is the second of its kind in the last five years for the NACD's officials. He noted that the first training took place from February 3 to 11, 2019, and focused on addict treatment.
