Indian Business Delegation Explores Investment Opportunities in Cambodia


Phnom Penh: A business delegation of about 12 Indian companies, primarily from the agriculture sector, has explored investment opportunities in Cambodia through an India-Cambodia B2B interaction held in the country. The event was chaired by Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana and the Ambassador of India to Cambodia, H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung. It took place on June 17, supported by the Embassy of India to Cambodia, InCham Cambodia, and the Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC).



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana briefed the Indian business delegation on Cambodia’s historic and transformative journey, highlighting the development of business- and investment-friendly policies and initiatives by the Royal Government of Cambodia. Senior representatives from the Cambodian Ministries of Commerce and Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries expressed their strong support for facilitating Indian businesses in Cambodia.



To further enhance trade and investment, Cambodia and India have established a joint working group on trade and investment, led by the Ministries of Commerce of both countries. The India-Cambodia B2B interaction was attended by over 100 business owners and investors, including members of the Cambodian Oknha Association, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, Cambodia Cashew Federation, Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association, CEO Master Club, and Junior Chamber International.



The Indian business delegation also visited a cashew processing enterprise near Phnom Penh, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
