Phnom Penh: H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, has recently visited Phnom Penh's Central Market to sample and promote Cambodia's diverse and delicious fruits.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the ambassador expressed his appreciation for Cambodian food, highlighting the exceptional quality and variety of the country's fruits. In a video clip released over the weekend, he stated, "One of the great things I've discovered while living in Cambodia is how delicious Cambodian food is. Among them, Cambodian fruits are especially delicious and come in such a wide variety."
H.E. UENO Atsushi specifically praised Cambodian mangoes and durians, declaring them the best in the world. He emphasized that this is the peak season for Cambodian fruits and shared his enjoyment of the excellent mangoes he has tasted.
During his market visit, the ambassador sampled durian, which he described as "creamy and delicious," and Pnheav (Burmese grape), which he found "very sour but tasty."
