Kakao Corp., the operator of South Korea's dominant mobile messenger app, said Monday that its service became briefly unavailable because of network maintenance. The six-minute outage was caused by an unspecified "unstable situation during an internal system operation," and service has been restored, the company said in a statement. Kakao's service suffered a widespread outage in 2022 due to a fire at a data center. Source: Yonhap News Agency
