KOPERASI PKNS BERHAD SIGNS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH THREE CORPORATE ENTITIES

SHAH ALAM, The Koperasi Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) Berhad (Koperasi PKNS Berhad) has established a strategic partnership with three corporate entities, among other things, to explore and expand the business development between the parties involved, through the cooperation formed. The agreement on the partnership was signed last Saturday and involved Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB), Norhendi Design and Build Sdn Bhd and Universiti Keusahawanan Koperasi Malaysia (UKKM). Koperasi PKNS Berhad was represented by its chairman, Ishak Hashim; BIMB was represented by the Strategic Head of Business Relations Norman Awang; Norhendi Design and Build was represented by its managing director Norhendi Suriawan Suriya; while the Graduate School of Business dean Professor Dr Mohd Haizam Mohd Saudi, represented UKKM. Koperasi PKNS Berhad, in a statement, said that the cooperation demonstrates their continuous efforts to drive economic growth and business development, in line with the aspiration to be amon g the 100 best cooperatives in the country. The statement also quoted Ishak as saying that the collaboration is a strategic step, which will greatly benefit the members of the cooperative, and expresses his confidence that with the expertise of three corporate entities which are skilled in their respective industries, Koperasi PKNS Berhad will be able to offer attractive and competitive products. Ishak added that the main objective of the signing of the cooperation is to strengthen and expand the expertise and experience between all parties, to empower the economy, especially for the members of the cooperative. The strategic joint venture with BIMB will focus on special incentive packages for cooperatives, through the opening of Al Awfar accounts by members offering a lucky draw, worth more than RM18 million, while Norhendi Design and Build offers a package of interior decoration services at a more affordable price, in addition to strengthening research and development in the education sector, which will b e driven by UKKM. Norhendi Suriawan, in the same statement, also expressed his excitement over the collaboration which enabled his company to expand its product range, and better meet the needs of the cooperative market in this country. Koperasi PKNS Berhad added that with the signing of the agreement, it is committed to giving the best to its members while building a brighter future for the cooperative sector in Malaysia.
