SEOUL, Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. on Tuesday reported its first-quarter net income of 35.2 billion won (US$25.5 million), up 18.5 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the January-March period rose 147.4 percent on-year to 48 billion won. Sales increased 30.1 percent to 739.9 billion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
