The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and the Japanese Business Association of Cambodia (JBAC) have reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on internship cooperation for Cambodian graduates. The MoU was inked between H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, and Mr. Fukuhara Koji, JBAC President, in Phnom Penh on Tuesday. The MoU aims to further promote capacity building and skills exchange to increase the productivity of the labour force in Cambodia, especially youth from poor and vulnerable families. Mr. Fukuhara Koji said the MoU will pave the way for more internship opportunities at Japanese companies in Cambodia, which are the mechanism to further promote high technical skills among Cambodian youths. H.E. Heng Sour emphasised that the internship is not only about capacity building, but also experiencing the workplace's environment after school. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
