Lee Woo-seok claimed bronze in the men's individual archery event Sunday for his second medal of the Paris Olympics. Lee defeated Florian Unruh of Germany 6-0 in the set score in the bronze medal match at Invalides in Paris. Lee fell to the third-place contest after losing to fellow South Korean Kim Woo-jin in the semifinals earlier Sunday. Lee previously helped South Korea win the men's team gold medal. In individual archery matches, archers each take three arrows per set, with a maximum 30 points. A set win is worth two points and the goal is to score six points first. Against Unruh, Lee did not drop a set. He won the opening set 29-27, after Unruh hit an 8 with his third arrow of the set. Lee then went 9-10-10 to take the second set by 29-28. Lee again scored 29 points in the third set to win it 29-28, closing out the match at 6-0. After hitting a 10 with his final arrow, Lee jumped up and down with joy. "I had such a great time. I was so happy," Lee said, beaming. "I lost in the semifinals even aft er giving everything I had. For the bronze medal match, I just wanted to enjoy the moment. I was not nervous at all, and I think that's why I was able to win." Source: Yonhap News Agency
