LG Electronics Q2 net profit up 222.3 pct to 629.5 bln won

LG Electronics Inc. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 629.5 billion won (US$454.1 million), up 222.3 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 61.2 percent on-year to 1.19 trillion won. Revenue increased 8.5 percent to 21.69 trillion won.
