LG H and H Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 107.2 billion won (US$77.4 million), up 11.2 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 158.5 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 157.8 billion won a year ago. Sales fell 2.7 percent to 1.75 trillion won. The earnings exceeded market expectations.
