Lotte Shopping Q1 net profit up 26.1 pct to 72.9 bln won

Lotte Shopping Co. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net profit of 72.9 billion won (US$53.2 million), up 26.1 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the January-March period rose 2.1 percent on-year to 114.9 billion won. Revenue decreased 1.4 percent to 3.51 trillion won. The operating profit was in line with the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The estimate of net profit was not available.
