SEOUL, LS Corp. on Wednesday reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 238.2 billion won (US$178.4 million), up 88 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 153.7 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 128.4 billion won a year ago. Sales rose 0.9 percent to 5.85 trillion won. The operating profit was 26.5 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
