KUALA LUMPUR: Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff has been reappointed as Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) vice-chancellor for two years effective from July 1 until June 30, 2026, The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) said in a statement today that the reappointment would allow Md Amin to continue with his plans to empower UPSI as the sole public university focused on education. He was first appointed UPSI vice-chancellor on June 24, 2021 for three years. "The ministry is also confident that with this reappointment, he will ensure UPSI's continued excellence in the academic and research fields and, thus, help produce quality graduate teachers to meet the needs of the country's education sector,' it added.
