Meritz Financial Group Q2 net profit up 27.7 pct to 736.2 bln won

Meritz Financial Group Inc. on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net profit of 736.2 billion won (US$541.1 million), up 27.7 percent from a year earlier. Operating income for the April-June period was 1 trillion won, up 32.3 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Sales fell 14.4 percent to 11.22 trillion won.
