Phnom penh: Minister of Post and Telecommunications, H.E. Chea Vandeth, and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Ueno Atsushi, jointly visited the construction sites of the Digital Park and the National Data Centre on July 2.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delegation included senior officials from the Ministry, representatives from the Japanese Embassy, and representatives from NTT Data Inc. Asia Pacific, NTT Global Data Centres Japan, and NTT Data Inc.
During the visit, Ambassador Ueno reiterated Japan's commitment to supporting the National Data Centre project. He emphasized its role as a secure and reliable hub for collecting and storing both Royal Government and private sector data across key industries.
The Ambassador noted that the facility will provide advanced technological infrastructure, enabling institutions to maintain data sovereignty, reduce operational costs, and enhance service delivery in accordance with Tier IV standards.
