The registration of voters for the year 2023 will take place from Oct. 1 to 19 at the communes/Sangkat across the country, announced the National Election Committee (NEC) in a meeting with stakeholders held at the NEC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh this morning.
NEC thus called on all the citizens who reached the age of 18 and those aged 18 years old and up, but not yet registered to get registered to fulfill their rights in accordance with the principle of democracy.
Those who have already registered are also required to verify their names and data posted at communes/Sangkat or at the NEC’s website: voterlist.nec.gov.kh and mobile application: NEC KH.
According to the 2022 official voter list, Cambodia has in total 9,710,645 eligible voters, of them 5,161,906 are women. The figure represents about 89 percent of the total population of 18 years old and up.
