New Timor-Leste Ambassador Meets Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister

Phnom penh: H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received a courtesy call from H.E. Marcos dos Reis da Costa, the newly appointed Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Cambodia, at the ministry on Aug. 25.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Prak Sokhonn congratulated H.E. Marcos Da Costa on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Timor-Leste to Cambodia. He offered best wishes and full support for the ambassador's diplomatic mission, confident that his tenure would strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn also appreciated the hospitality extended to Samdech Techo HUN Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, during his visit to Timor-Leste in May.

H.E. Marcos Da Costa committed to enhancing relations and cooperation across various sectors. He expressed gratitude for Cambodia's support of Timor-Leste's membership in ASEAN.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn assured the ambassador of the ministry's readiness to support his diplomatic mission.
